Blogging About Blogging, Y'all

...is what I'm doing today.

First up, February 2 was my 2-year blogging anniversary. Cheers, confetti and all that! I didn't want to write a whole blog post dedicated to my already-passed anniversary, mostly because I have so much else I want to say.

But first, thank you, the 400+ of you! (Plus readers who haven't clicked "follow" -- I know there are lurkers. I check my stats.) Seriously, I would not blog if I didn't have you guys. Your comments encourage me, your blog posts inspire and amuse, and your emails and tweets cheer me up. Some of you have become beta readers, some trusted friends and regular check-in-with-each-other email buddies. Some of you I don't know very well, but I'd always love to get to know you better. Thank you for being there, guys. You're all awesome.

Second of all, you might have noticed some changes on this blog. Or you might not have. A few of the changes are really minor. One of the big new things is that I now have Google ads. Google, mind-blowing and cutting-edge that they are, tailors their ads to the content on my blog. So, who knows, maybe they'll advertise something neat and worthwhile on here.

Anyone else have experience with ads on Blogger? Any thoughts?

Another change I made is adding pages up top. Feel free to check them out, but no pressure.

Third, kind of tying into the second, one of my pages above is "Partner Sites." If you'd like to be a partner site (basically linking each other's blogs), please email me. Right now I'd like to take a moment to showcase my first partner site, Gone Crafty.com, a craft site owned by my good friend Amber.

Amber is one of the most thoughtful and creative people I know. She made me this scarf:

(Cat not included.)

She's made other scarves, and all kinds of accessories, and even these fabulous pop-up cards. Check out her site, or click here to go directly to her Etsy store.

I would love to feature more spectacular, talented people on my blog. You don't have to be a writer, either (but you can be.) The tough part is that I follow so many people, so it's hard to choose who to ask. If you want to be featured, please email me.

So speaking of blogging and changes, what do you think of the new Blogger edit layout (if you're using it?) What kinds of changes are you anticipating for your own blog?
