So. Many. Things.

Wow, it's been quite a month! Sorry for the silence, folks, but I've had so many things going on.

We finally completed The Big Move across the country. We'd moved out of our old home many months ago and lived with family for a while, and then we lived in a hotel for a couple of weeks, so we went a pretty long time with most of our stuff packed in boxes. We're still getting used to our new house, but it's wonderful so far.

Between unpacking, meeting all my new doctors (yay for chronic illnesses), making new friends, and still doing writerly activities like critiquing awesome manuscripts and trying to get my own MS into shape, I haven't had much time to blog in the past month. I've missed this place and look forward to catching up on everyone else's blogs!

(Speaking of "this place," I plan to give this blog a makeover this summer. If things start to look wacky, that's just me fiddling around with it.)

Also, in the middle of all this craziness, this month is also the one year anniversary of publishing my first book, Wishing for Washington! To celebrate, the e-book will be free on Amazon today through Sunday, so if you don't have a copy, go ahead and grab one. (If it doesn't show up as FREE during this time period, please let me know.)

What have I missed in the past month? I'll find out; I'll be coming around to visit blogs soon!

I've been in my house three years now and still haven't unpacked a bunch of stuff. That's what storage rooms are for.

Congrats on your one year anniversary. And Yay for doctors. I hope you get some relief soon.

You've definitely been busy! Moving can be so rough. I still haven't unpacked some things when I moved back after college. Congrats on your one year anniversary of your book! :)

Congrats on the move! Not surprised at all that you had to take a break from the blogosphere as a result. (I often have to when I'm nowhere near as busy as you, haha.) And wow, happy anniversary to Wishing for Washington! Hard to believe it's been a whole year already...

I was worried about you. I was thinking about your book the other day and I came over and saw you hadn't blogged in a while. Glad to hear you're safe.

I went through a move in late April/early May, too...but it was local. That was stressful enough. We bought our house and STILL haven't put our old house on the market...every weekend we're over there working our butts off. I think we're putting it on the market this weekend. I just keep telling myself, "This will be over soon!" I have ALL my boxes unpacked...my husband, notsomuch.

You've had so much to do! Glad you're settling in.
Life has kind of equalled chaos around here lately. Lots of family things going on and the job is crazy busy, so it's been nuts - but that's pretty much normal :)

Anne - Thanks! Yup, I put a few boxes in our storage closet for now. That'll have to do.

Cherie - Thanks, yeah, moving isn't my favorite thing ever, but I'm glad the hard part is done.

Tyrean - Thank you. :) I'm confident that after enough time, it will feel like home.

Heather - Thank you! I know, I can't believe it's been a year, either...

Stephanie - Aww, sorry to worry you, but thank you for thinking of me! Good luck with your house, too. I hope it sells quickly!

Jemi - Thanks, yeah, I'm trying to get things back to normal. I hope things get less crazy for you soon!

Christine - Thank you, hope your weekend was wonderful!

Kristi - Aww, thanks, friend! <3

After being in transition I can imagine how thrilled you are to at last be in your own home. We had a situation like that once with a move, and I well remember the relief at finally being settled. I love the look of your new site btw.

Medeia - Thank you! Many sales would be a happy thing. :)

Karen - Haha, I don't know how it ended up posting your comment so many times, either. Anyway, thanks, transition can be really tough.
